Well after talking with a lot of my friends and under careful consideration. I am leaving dA. Only kidding. No but really after long convos and long thoughts. I'm not going to hold back any more. The whole megaman fan art community is turning to garbage, even a lot of the clubs I am in, there is only 1 of these clubs that I am in that I agree with. I'll get to that later.

So as many of you know I really don't like sprite edits, recolors, screen caps, fan character romance or really bad art! Many of you told me to just ignore it, but let me ask you this, if someone takes a knife to the mona lisa , should you ignore it? If someone creates a famous character, a very well noted one, why do you have to create a love life for them, why must you feel that "your" character deserves to be in a relationship with this famous character, or that your story needs to be told along side this well renowned character.

If someone works on a drawing for hours and hours, then someone else takes that drawing, applies a filter then adds their name to it does that make it theirs? If someone recolors an official art and slightly changes or adds a few things (especially if its done really poorly like in ms paint) why does it become their own character that they have "created". If you are going to submit an art especially if its official edited, why would you half ass it? If you had to change your oil in your car you wouldn't put cooking oil in it and a coffee filter as the oil filter. If you're gonna do something go all the way. If you cant, then don't! But by all means if you want to practice then do so, but submit it to scraps. dont submit it to every club and get offended when people have something bad to say about it.

I dont feel its fair to these other artists that i see putting out amazing works.. shit that i can only fathom doing, being overshadowed by tons of crap art. often when i have messages if there is a lot of crap art in a folder i just delete the whole thing instead of looking for the one really good one.

Am I the best artist in the world? HELL NO!!! But, I put effort into what I do. I'm tired of your excuses, "I only have ms paint" or "I've only been drawing for 3 months" "go easy on me". What the hell makes you think that your art is better than the people who have spent years honing their craft? Also, this is not Photobucket or a storage site, why do you upload official art that you like here or others art that you like on your page? That is THEFT! ALSO... Has the human population forgot how to read? the terms and conditions are pretty clear. I'm sick of seeing my good friends be ripped off by you people. Several times I've considered not even doing Megaman art anymore and just taking it all off this site. If people can get away with photo-manip and call that art, then why the hell do I even draw? I am also starting to feel that there should be an age limit on dA and, if you dont submit art you dont belong on dA. if you cant take constructive criticism you dont belong on this planet, You grow from other people around you. I have cosidered starting my megaman club as well but VERY VERY VERY strict ruling!

Let me ask you, when you see your art, do you feel it's quality? Do you really put in the time you claim to put in? Do you even care? Do you push yourself every time you draw? Are you trying to better your art with each drawing?

I care.

NO Excuses

I've considered going on each art I see and being brutally honest... maybe even one word criticism... like "crap"
